Get paid by card

Card payments are not open yet

Skip this step for now. Everything else in this guide works without it, and families pay you directly in the meantime. OrangeSlice Athlete will tell you when card payments open. Come back to this page then.

Card payments run through Stripe, a payments company. You open your own Stripe account from inside OrangeSlice Athlete, and families’ payments land in it. Stripe then pays out to your bank.

Do this step early. Stripe reviews every new account, and that can take a day or two.

Have these ready

• Your legal name, date of birth and home address (not a PO box)
• The last 4 digits of your Social Security number
• Your bank account’s routing and account numbers, for payouts
• A phone number families can call about a charge
• Your website. No website? Use your OrangeSlice Athlete page address, and publish that page soon (Publish and share your page)
• If you run an LLC or a company: its legal name, address and EIN

1. On the Dashboard, scroll to the bottom and tap Payments

   

2. Tap Connect Stripe

   This creates your Stripe account. It does not open Stripe yet.

   

3. The button changes. Tap Continue on Stripe

   This is the tap that opens Stripe.

   

4. Answer Stripe’s questions. It asks for an email first, then for the things in the list above.

   If you already have a Stripe account, you can use the same email.

5. When you finish, Stripe brings you back to Payments.

You're done when

The badge beside Your Stripe account says Ready to take payments.

While it says Stripe is still reviewing, there is nothing for you to do. Keep going with the next step and check back tomorrow.

If it says "Stripe needs more information"

Tap Continue on Stripe again and finish what is left. You can stop and come back as often as you need.

The list above the button uses Stripe’s own technical names. The Stripe reference says what each one means.

What it costs

• OrangeSlice Athlete’s fee is shown on the Payments screen under What this costs, with an example.
• Stripe’s fee is separate and comes out of each payment before it reaches your bank. For US cards it is 2.9% + 30¢ as of October 2026. Check Stripe’s pricing for today’s rate.

Until Stripe is ready

You can keep setting up. Families can see your plans but cannot buy them, and a first visit you charge for is paid to you in person.
